I know what you're thinking. Sure, The Matrix was a fun movie, but wouldn't it have been so much better if it had starred Raul Julia instead of Keanu Reeves? And if, instead of being driven to free humanity from the machines, Neo had been obsessed with recreating scenes from Casablanca, starring himself? And if, instead of advanced "bullet-time" CGI compositing, the producers used crappy 80s-era chroma-key effects? Oh, and also, if Trinity had a huge poofy perm.

Well, wonder no longer, because that dream becomes glorious reality in Overdrawn At The Memory Bank, starring an extremely morose-looking Raul Julia. Thrill at the ridiculous-sounding techno-jargon! Gasp in amazement as nature-documentary footage of baboons is used to pad out the running time! Howl in derision that anyone thought it would be a good idea to combine the plots of Tron and Casablanca on a PBS budget!

Mike and the bots have a field day with this one, and so will you. It all happens at 7:00pm on Saturday, April 12, right here in DUMBO. Hope to see you all there!

Had a great time. I felt bad about having to run off so fast after the movie ended. Hope to stay longer next time though. Mike is a fine fine host. Kudoes on a job well done!!!
