Welcome!
In response to popular demand, Meetup.com is pleased to announce this worldwide message board for this topic! This is the start of something big. This is the place to connect globally on your topic. Talk with fellow Meetup Groups elsewhere and advance your cause, plan to get your groups together, help each other have better Meetups... you're now all united into a single network of Meetup Groups with a common interest! If you see problem messages--spam, advertising, threats, abuse, or off-topic posts--you can tell Meetup.com staff by clicking the 'Report Inappropriate Post' link at the top of the offending post. We'll respond as quickly as possible. We hope you, your family, your friends, and your community have great Meetups! |

Hey there, MSTies. Drew here, orgainizer of the Santa Clara county Group. As the first message on the wolrdwide boards, let me say hi and ask how other groups get the members out there to the meetup. Later. hey drew; mike here. i joined on last year with no organizer on board, and what seemd like no meetings either. with a total of 8 members, non-attendance, minus an organizer was threatening this chapter. so, on 2/7/05, i decided to become the egah-nizer. my first bulletin board post announced this along with the next meet up (2/14). then i went to the 'help' section and pasted their generic suggestion of a meet up announcement, which i slightly reworked for MSTies as my second plea. but i think it was my picture that got the one (1) reply for attendance. maybe it takes a little creativity-with what the site offers to work with; a lottle insanity - if you're really going to get people's attention, push the envelope - make it up as you go along. then, when you get members, you can figure out just what the hell you're gonna do. works for me. i mean really, we love a puppet show-it just DOESN'T get any better than that!!! good luck, san jose... |

Grr, no groups in Toronto or anywhere near here and I can't afford $19/month to start one right now. What's the nearest group to me? Once I can afford it I am going to start the Etobicoke/Toronto Chapter, but until that time I'll have to just laugh alone. :(

Why is there a worldwide board anyway? SEE YOU GUYS AT THE SOUTH POLE. |
